Deepshikha College of Technical Education was established in 1998. It is situated on a huge campus in the midst of greenery in the heart of the pinkcity of India. Everything around DCTE echoes the vision of the founders and the process of change they initiated.

Over the last 15 years, DCTE's vision has been to excel in the field of management education. DCTE is now recognized as one of the best and most respected business schools in the state of Rajasthan. This can largely be attributed to the periodic redefining of its mission to align itself with the changing times, while maintaining focus on social productivity.

Ever since its inception, DCTE has focused on developing corporate leaders. Today, DCTE alumni occupy key positions in top corporates of India , and have acted as the ambassadors of change wherever they have worked.

In response to the rapidly changing economic environment and the process of globalization, the Institute has made sustained efforts to bring a global perspective to all its activities. In the context of the MBA programme, the Institute has encouraged an increasing corporate exposure for its students in various ways like arranging special lectures and workshops of the top as well as middle level corporate, arranging on the job training in top companies, arranging conferences and seminars on the global contemporary issues etc.

DCTE has been making a significant contribution to management research in a wide range of areas, which are relevant to practitioners and policy makers and are of concern for the society at large. The Institute has set up the Centre for Entrepreneurship development  for developing entrepreneurship skills among students to develop the spirit of becoming a job provider instead of a job seeker and to help innovators in successfully commercializing their innovations through an enterprise.

In recent years, DCTE has taken several steps in its pursuit of excellence. Some of the specific steps taken during the last couple of years are: Recruitment of new faculty, Offering latest elective courses, digital library, national as well as international journals, providing hi tech and modern infrastructure.
